Cholpon-Ata Hosts Closing Ceremony of Tajik Culture Days

The Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Kyrgyzstan concluded Wednesday in Cholpon-Ata, in an event officials described as an important step in strengthening humanitarian and cultural ties between the two neighboring countries.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Kyrgyzstan, participants at the closing ceremony said the cultural program had provided people in both countries with a broader understanding of each other’s historical and cultural heritage.
Officials also stressed that relations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan rooted in longstanding historical ties, continue to strengthen through the political will and efforts of the two countries’ leaders. Speakers highlighted culture’s role in promoting friendship, mutual respect and trust between nations.
The cultural program featured concerts, art exhibitions, screenings of Tajik films, and scientific and literary meetings involving representatives of the creative and academic communities from both countries.
Organizers said the events helped expand humanitarian cooperation, deepen cultural dialogue and encourage greater mutual understanding between the Tajik and Kyrgyz peoples.
The Tajik side expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Kyrgyzstan for their hospitality and support in hosting the events, while both sides voiced confidence that the initiative would help further strengthen friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
