On July 13, a sudden flood struck Bailigou Village in Tieling, Liaoning Province, following heavy rainfall. A villager was trapped in his home, surrounded by floodwaters up to 1.5 meters deep – a life-threatening situation.
With the current too fierce for inflatable boats to navigate, the rescuers decisively deployed a drone for an aerial rescue to lift the stranded villager to a safe place.
Drones are prohibited from lifting people in principle. But, in a moment of life-and-death urgency, the rescue team stood firmly by the philosophy of «put the people first,» prioritizing the villager’s safety above all else and completing the mission successfully.
