On Aug. 14, experts from the Commonwealth of Independent States member countries held a videoconference to review a draft agreement on establishing a Council of Heads of Enforcement Authorities, an initiative proposed by Tajikistan.

According to the Execution Service under the Government of Tajikistan, representatives of competent authorities from CIS member states and the Commonwealth’s Executive Committee took part in the meeting and conducted a detailed review of the draft agreement.

The participants focused on the proposed council’s goals, objectives and operating principles, as well as areas for cooperation among member states.

Participants backed the establishment of the council, saying it would strengthen multilateral cooperation, improve the enforcement of court decisions and other acts issued by authorized bodies, and help protect the rights and interests of citizens and businesses.
