President Emomali Rahmon Visits Tajikistan’s National Pavilion at CIS Festival of Cuisine, Crafts, and Industrial and Agricultural Products in Turkmenistan

On October 8, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, together with the heads of other member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), visited the Festival of National Cuisine, Folk Crafts, and Exhibition of Industrial and Agricultural Products in the Avaza National Tourist Zone of Turkmenistan.

As part of the festival, national pavilions representing the participating countries were set up. Through presentations of traditional dishes, customs, rituals, and national table settings, the countries showcased their hospitality traditions.

The pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan attracted the attention of festival participants with its traditional Tajik dishes, distinctive national table decorations, a variety of folk crafts, and other natural treasures of Tajikistan.

The pavilion also showcased the country’s tourism potential.

Examples of traditional Tajik craftsmanship, including chakan embroidery, decorative embroidery, carpet weaving, wood carving, jewelry-making, and other handicrafts, were put on display.

The industrial section of Tajikistan’s pavilion featured products manufactured by domestic enterprises, including goods of economic and export significance.

The agricultural section of the Tajik pavilion also attracted considerable interest, presenting domestically produced agricultural goods and products. This section highlighted the country’s abundant natural resources and agricultural potential, the dedicated work of its farmers, and Tajikistan’s capacity for producing and processing a wide variety of food products.

At the same venue, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the heads of other countries, a grand cultural programme featuring distinguished artists from CIS member states was presented.

The concert programme was organized to showcase the finest examples of the participating countries’ cultures and arts and to strengthen friendly cultural and creative ties among them. It developed into a major artistic celebration.

The Republic of Tajikistan was represented at this important event by cultural and artistic figures, professional performers, and creative groups.

Tajik artists performed a special concert programme featuring outstanding examples of national music, traditional songs, and folk dances before the event’s participants and distinguished guests.

The performances by Tajik cultural representatives began with national songs and melodies, followed by a variety of examples of Tajik musical and dance traditions presented to the audience.

At this grand event, each participating country showcased its cultural identity by presenting the finest examples of its national culture and art.

This initiative provided an opportunity for attendees to gain a deeper appreciation of the cultural diversity, spiritual richness, and national traditions of the peoples of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
