On October 24, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as part of his working visit to the city of Vahdat, visited an exhibition of agricultural products, traditional crafts, and national dishes.

The exhibition showcased the fruits of local farmers’ labor, including vegetables, various types of fresh and dried fruits, canned products, melons and other gourds, cereals, legumes, and other agricultural produce. These abundant products reflect the effective use of natural resources, favorable weather conditions, fertile land, and high-quality seeds, demonstrating the extensive experience of the city’s farmers.

President Emomali Rahmon was informed that, during the first nine months of 2026, agricultural producers in Vahdat had generated total agricultural output worth more than 1.689 billion somoni, equivalent to 108.1 percent of the projected target.

In this regard, considerable attention has been devoted to expanding the areas planted with cereals, increasing greenhouse capacity, breeding high-quality livestock, raising poultry numbers, expanding fish-farming ponds, and increasing the cultivation of legumes, industrial crops, potatoes, vegetables, and melons and gourds, for which the city’s climate is favorable.

The exhibition, presented in an attractive and impressive manner, highlighted the abundant harvests and the extensive experience of Vahdat’s hardworking residents in the effective and productive use of agricultural land.
