Tajik-Kuwaiti diplomats discussed a wide range of cooperation issues
Dushanbe, 6.04.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The First Bilateral political consultations between the foreign ministries of Tajikistan and Kuwait took place in Dushanbe on April 5, the Tajik Foreign Ministry press service reports.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidi headed the Tajik delegation while Ali Sulaiman Al-Saad, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait led the Kuwaiti side.
During the Ministerial consultations which were held in an atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding, the two sides exchanged views on ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, develop trade-economic, investment, cultural, tourism and humanitarian spheres, as well as the expansion of the legal base of bilateral relations and cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations.
Besides, a joint plan of action aimed at expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas, holding meetings at the highest and high levels and attracting Kuwaiti investments in the realization of economic, social and infrastructure projects in Tajikistan was agreed.
A thorough exchange of views took place on topical regional issues and mechanisms of cooperation between the two countries in the fight against international terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and organized crime.
