Central Asian Conference in Paris-Sorbonne University
Dushanbe, 16.04.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Conference dedicated to the development and expansion of the French presence in Central Asia was held on April 14 in the Sorbonne University of Paris, France.
According to Embassy of Tajikistan in France, the conference was was attended by the French senators and government officials, as well as diplomatic representatives of the Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the French Republic Homidjon Nazarov has made presentation on the three strategic goals of the country: withdrawal of Tajikistan from a communication deadlock, energy independence and food security, as well as called for a broader involvement of French investors in the economy of Tajikistan”, — Embassy’s statement said.
The statement also added that during the Conference senators, ambassadors, professors and students of the University of Sorbonne initiated an interactive dialogue with questions and answers.
At the end of the Conference, the Ambassador proposed to have a next event on tourism development in Central Asia.
