Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command Central visits Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 18.04.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. U.S. Army Major General Darsie D. Rogers, commander of Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT) visited Central Asia and participated in a series of meetings with senior U.S., Tajik, and Uzbek officials on issues of bilateral security cooperation and regional interest.
According to U.S. Embassy to Tajikistan, during his visit Rogers met with Elisabeth Millard, U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan and discussed areas of continued military cooperation between the United States and the Central Asian States, including SOCCENT’s relationship with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan’s Special Operations Forces.
Rogers also met with senior military officials and underscored the importance of a continued partnership as well as SOCCENT’s support to stability and security in Central Asia.
