Dushanbe, 21.12.2015 (NIAT “Khovar”) — Chairman of Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli (Lower House of Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov in the framework of his visit to the State of Kuwait has met with the Speaker of the Parliament (Majlis Umma) of Kuwait, Mr. Marzuq Ali Al-Ghanim.

According to Press Secretary of Tajik Parliament, during the meeting the parties have discussed the issue of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation. Also, the issues of expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the State of Kuwait in the fields of economy, trade, investment, agriculture, construction, tourism, humanitarian and culture were discussed in this meeting.

“We are interested in establishment of relations and strengthening of cooperation with the State of Kuwait in all sectors, and we hope that in this basis we have already made our steady steps”, — said Shukurjon Zuhurov, Tajik Parliament Speaker.

Marzuq Ali Al-Ghanim noted that really between the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Kuwait all cooperation possibilities are not implemented and we hope that this relationship with the visit of the influential parliamentary delegation headed by Shukurjon Zuhurov will enter into a new phase. We are very happy from the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the State of Kuwait and we hope that the Embassy of the State of Kuwait will be opened soon in the capital of Tajikistan – a beautiful Dushanbe city.

At the end of bilateral meeting between the National Assembly of Kuwait and Majlisi namoyandagon of the Republic of Tajikistan the agreement on mutual understanding that consists of eight articles was signed. This Agreement was signed by Shukurjon Zuhurov and Marzuq Ali Al-Ghanim.
