Emomali Rahmon: “Tajikistan’s GDP in 2015 amounted to over 48 billion Somoni”
Dushanbe, 20.01.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). – The growth of Tajikistan’s GDP in 2015 has amounted to 6 percent, over 48 billion Somoni. It was stated by the President of the country Emomali Rahmon today during his annual address to the Majlisi Oli.
The Head of state has noted that the inflation rate amounted to 5 percent, as well as the poverty rate was reduced to 31 percent.
President of the country also added that the external debt of Tajikistan stands at 27.9% of GDP.
It is to be noted that all these results were achieved despite the severe economic and financial crisis in the region and the world, especially in countries that are the major economic and trade partners of Tajikistan.
