National Bank of Tajikistan and the Central Bank of the UAE Sign a Cooperation Document

DUSHANBE, 12.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The meeting of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firdavs Tolibzoda and the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the United Arab Emirates Ashrafjon Gulov with the Chairman of Central Bank of the UAE Khaled Mohammed Salem Balama Al Tameemi took place on December 9.
The parties discussed current issues related to the banking system and expressed their readiness to develop and expand interbank relations in the field of banking supervision, payment systems, combating the legalization of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism.
Based on this, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Information Exchange between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.
This document can assist in strengthening cooperation in the banking sector of the two countries, exchanging experience, knowledge and starting a new level of cooperation.
