Foreign minister Aslov meets EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini
Dushanbe, 17.02.2016. (NIAT «Khovar»). — Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met in Brussels on Tuesday with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini on the sidelines of the Fifth meeting of the Cooperation Council between the EU and Tajikistan.
According to the MFA Information Department, the officials discussed in detail the main issues of Tajikistan – EU relations in the field of security, economy, human rights and the EU Strategy in Central Asia.
A substantive exchange of views took place on a number of topical aspects of international relations, including the security situation in Afghanistan and cooperation in the Central Asian region.
Also, the National Development Strategy until 2030 was discussed during the meeting.
Exchange of views was held on successful conclusion of the Cooperation Council meeting between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union. Both sides expressed their interest for further expansion of relations.
