Tajik FM and UNESCAP Executive Secretary discuss forthcoming Leader’s Dialogue for the landlocked countries of the North and Central Asia
Dushanbe, 05.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Aslov met here on Thursday with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commissions for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) Dr. Shamshad Akhtar.
According to the MFA Information Department, during the meeting the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and ESCAP, as well as strengthening of regional and subregional cooperation in the field of transport, integration and connectivity in the Asia-Pacific region have been discussed.
In addition, the sides have exchanged views on preparations for the forthcoming Leader’s Dialogue for the landlocked countries of the North and Central Asia to be held at the ESCAP headquarters in Bangkok on 17 May in the framework of the 72 session of ESCAP.
