Tajikistan’s Deputy PM meets with Governor of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov
Dushanbe, 19.02.2016 (NIAT “Khovar”). — Akim (governor) of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov, who has arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan, had on 19 February a meeting with Tajikistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Azim Ibrohim.
During the negotiations the sides discussed issues of strengthening of cooperation in priority spheres within the Tajik–Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic cooperation.
It was noted that the forthcoming intergovernmental commission’s session is to be held in the first half of this year, during which the discussion of the issues of expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transport, communications, trade, energy, science and technology is expected.
The interlocutors particularly have exchanged views on the establishment of direct contacts between the regions of Tajikistan and the East Kazakhstan region.
