Dushanbe, 23.02.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). — The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon visited Khuroson district, Khatlon Region to get acquainted with the state of exemplary winegrowing farms in the Fakhrobod area.

President Emomali Rahmon also took part at the collective voluntary work for the foundation of the garden named after the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation in the area of 160 hectares.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was welcomed with a great sincerity by the residents and the activists of Khatlon Region.

First of all, Head of State got acquainted with the exhibition of achievements of workers of the cities and districts of Khatlon region.

The exhibition of cities and districts of the region presented samples of crafts, elements of national traditions, as well as various agricultural products, including cereals, fruits and vegetables.

As informed to the President of the country, the workers of the Khatlon region have produced more than 2 mln tons of vegetables, melons, potatoes, fruit and grapes in 2015.

Exports of agricultural products in 2015 have increased by 2 times compared to 2014.

It is expected that this year in the region, in the area of 1147 hectares new orchards and vineyards will be erected. Over the next 5 years it is scheduled to create 5720 hectares of orchards and vineyards.

After visiting the exhibition, President of the country Emomali Rahmon and Rustami Emomali got acquainted with the exemplary garden named after the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, lay on an area of 160 hectares, and planted an apple tree seedling.

Moreover, this important meeting, which was initiated by President of the country Emomali Rahmon was attended by Khuroson district’s residents and members of the farming economy Asadullo.
