Tajik FM Aslov attended the Ministerial Meeting on the occasion of 50th anniversary of UNDP
Dushanbe, 25.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — On 24 February 2016 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov has participated and made a statement at the Ministerial Meeting on the occasion of 50th anniversary of UNDP which was held at the UN premises in New York.
According to Tajik MFA Information Department, during the meeting the high level guests from the Member States have shared their views for how UNDP, over the coming decades, can best contribute to countries’ efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan during his statement at the thematic break-out session «Managing Risk, Building resilience» has stressed the need to strengthen regional and international cooperation in prevention and elimination of natural disasters, especially those related to water.
