Tajikistan, India Discuss Expanding Political and Economic Ties

On April 1, 2026, a meeting was held between Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Indian Deputy Foreign Minister Sibi George, who is in Dushanbe to participate in political consultations between the foreign ministries of Tajikistan and India.
According to the Foreign Ministry of the country, during the meeting, the two sides discussed the current state and prospects of Tajikistan-India relations, including political, trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as multifaceted engagement within the framework of the Central Asia-India Dialogue and regional and international issues.
