Dushanbe, 17.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). In the city of Abu Dhabi, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met here on Wednesday with the CEO of the company «Mubadala» Khaldun Khalifa Al Mubarak.

At the meeting the sides discussed issues of development of Tajikistan’s cooperation with the UAE and large companies of the Emirates.

«We have developed and adopted a long-term national development strategy, building on the experience of domestic experts and the promotion of major international institutions,» — said during the meeting the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and confidently added that the active participation of companies from the Emirates in this program meets the mutual interests.

It was also emphasized that more than 400 different investment programs in many sectors of the economy and creation of social infrastructure have been developed in Tajikistan, as well as there are favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments.

«We are interested in mutually beneficial long-term partnership,» — said, in turn, General Director of «Mubadala» Khaldun Khalifa Al Mubarak and added that in the near future a large government delegation headed by the Minister of Economy of the Emirates will visit Tajikistan to explore the available opportunities. After the exploratory mission it will be possible to develop and implement a special program on priority directions of further cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates.

The parties to the meeting discussed issues of cooperation in such promising areas as hydroelectric power, the establishment of enterprises for processing of agricultural goods, exports of dried fruits, fresh vegetables, infrastructure construction and tourism development, effective use of the free economic zones, the use of large reserves of precious stones, non-ferrous metals, strategic raw materials and other property of Tajikistan.

During the meeting the sides also touched upon other issues of mutual interest.
