City MPs nominated Ozoda Rahmon to membership of Majlisi milli
Dushanbe, 15.04.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ozoda Rahmon – Chief of Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan has been nominated to the membership of Majlisi milli of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan by city deputies at the fifth session of Majlis of people’s deputies of Dushanbe City.
Majlisi milli is an Upper House of Parliament of Tajikistan and consists of 33 members. Maslisi milli’s 25 members shall be elected through voting in sessions of Majlises of deputies of GBAO, Sughd and Khatlon regions, districts of republican subordination and Dushanbe City.
8 members of the Upper House of Parliament will be appointed by the President. The first President of the Republic of Tajikistan Kahhor Mahkamov is a permanent member of Majlisi milli.
