UN Economic and Social Commission Presidency comes to Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 18.05.2016 / NIAT “Khovar”/. At the 72nd session in Thailand the presidency of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific /ESCAP/ was assigned to Tajikistan.
ESCAP Executive Secretary Ms. Akhtar Shamshad in her speech having congratulated the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon for being elected as the head of the UN Group on Water Issues, has stressed that the role of Tajikistan in water issues and rational use of water resources in the region is great and deserves support.
We will remind that Prime Minister of the country Kohir Rasulzoda represents Tajikistan in this session.
