Natural disaster inflicts damage to nearly 300 homes in Isfara
Dushanbe, 18.08.2016 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of Tajikistan has reported the details of mudflow, which has occurred on August 16 as a result of torrential rains on the territory of a number of communities of Isfara.
According to the press center of CES, the mudflow completely destroyed 6 and partially damaged 10 houses. The disaster inflicted damage to 272 homes. The damage was also brought to farms, roads, and communication systems.
In order to eliminate the consequences of natural disaster and to help affected families, an operational headquarters has been set up. The Deputy Chairman of CES and heads of staff of the CES of the region as well as the divisions of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan arrived to the scene.
