Khudoyberdi Kholiqnazar: “For Tajikistan, any choice of the American people is very important”
Dushanbe, 09.11.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. “For Tajikistan, any choice of the American people is very important, as it is the choice of the United States of America”, — said the Director of the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Khudoyberdi Kholiqnazar in conversation with correspondent of NIAT “Khovar”, expressing his view on the victory of Donald Trump at the U.S. presidential elections.
“Republic of Tajikistan is ready to work with new U.S. administration and we hope that our relationships will continue to be very close and mutually beneficial for our countries”, — he noted.
The head of CSS has also voiced hope that Tajikistan and United States will continue to develop their friendliest relations.
“Nobody expected that such a paradoxical election would end with Mr. Trump’s victory. But such is the will of the American people, and democracy that exists in America. Nearly all experts and specialists, who know the nuances of the American elections, were unanimously assured that victory will go for sure to Mrs. Clinton, as she is a famous personality and she has a great influence on U.S. policy. But we found the opposite, watching amazing picture, where virtually on all states and regions information changed hourly”, — said Mr. Kholiqnazar, adding that the American democratic system is complex and says that any elector has the right to express his opinion at the last moment.
