Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to the President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz, which reads as follows:

It was with deep shock and sadness that I learned about the severe and irretrievable loss of the friendly people of Cuba — the demise of its Leader, Fidel Castro Ruz.

Fidel Castro Ruz has gone down in the modern history of Cuba as an outstanding statesman, who largely determined the nature and content of an era in the country’s development. His tireless efforts in the international arena to promote peace and harmony have earned him recognition and credibility as a global politician.

In this hour of grief, we extend our heartfelt condolences and empathy to your family, relatives and friends, and to all Cuban people”.
