DUSHANBE, 31.01.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Today, at the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received the Chief Executive Officer of Salini Impregilo, Pietro Salini.
The talks focused on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation of Tajikistan with the Salini Impregilo industrial Group, particularly cooperation in the field of construction and rehabilitation work at the hydropower facilities, including Rogun HPP.
The two sides exchanged views on the pace and quality of construction work and the course of financing of the construction of important facility, and named the timely completion of the project works plan and issues related to financing and investment as one of the main factors of progress in construction of hydropower dam.
It was expressed confidence that the Salini Impregilo as a reliable company and international leading group taking part in the construction of Roghun power plant will take all necessary measures to fulfill the project works for construction of the facility and to eliminate existing shortcomings in time.
The interlocutors also discussed the issues related to bilateral obligations on construction and rehabilitation of the Roghun hydropower plant, the attraction of the Salini Impregilo — international industrial Group to the implementation of various investment projects in Tajikistan.
