President signs a number of laws
DUSHANBE, 24.02.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon signed today a number of laws passed by Majlisi namoyandagon and seconded by Majlisi milli.
The president, in particular, signed the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan «On State Awards», «On payment services and payment system», «On adult education», «On targeted social assistance», as well as on making amendments to the Family Code, the Criminal Code and the Tax Code.
In addition, amendments to several laws, in particular, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On Combating Corruption», «On the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption», the Criminal Code, the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on administrative offenses, and to other legislation are aimed at strengthening the fight against corruption.
The laws of the Republic of Tajikistan «On State Service», «On Accounting and Financial Statements» are presented in order to improve existing laws and regulations to bring them into conformity with the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The adopted laws are in general aimed at strengthening the rule of law, addressing the fight against crime, protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms, the interests of the state, organizations and institutions, public order, the development of socio-economic activities and the progress of the various aspects of life in the country.
