President Emomali Rahmon visited Qatar Foundation (QF) and Museum of Islamic Art (MIA)
In the framework of his official visit to Doha, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon visited Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and also toured Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).
The high guest was welcomed to QF headquarters by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, the Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF).
In the QF Exhibition hall the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was given a comprehensive presentation about the history of the QF formation, activities and achievements.
QF combines authoritative representation of 39 world universities, where more than 5 thousand foreign students are taught in English.
It should be noted that since the achievement of state independence, branches of major foreign universities have been opened in the Republic of Tajikistan. Students from 29 countries study at the universities and institutes of Tajikistan. The establishment of branches in our country shows the level of our education according to the world standards and is carried out thanks to the success of social policy of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.
Concluding the visit, President of our state Emomali Rahmon made an entry of his good wishes to QF’s Visitors’ Book.
President Emomali Rahmon also visited the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).
The President was welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer and the Chairperson at Qatar Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Mr. Salem Abdulla Al Aswad.
In the QM’s halls the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon toured and viewed the activities of the cultural center, history of the formation of Islamic civilization and culture.
President Emomali Rahmon paid special attention to the unique samples of painting and carving on stone and wood, calligraphy in Farsi and Dari. These manuscripts, works of Eastern artists and calligraphers are evidence of the ancient history of friendly and fraternal relations between the Asian and Arab nations.
Concluding the visit, President Emomali Rahmon as a sign of respect to history and culture of the people of this country made an entry to the book of honorable guests and wished prosperity to the friendly and brotherly people of Qatar.
