President Emomali Rahmon signs a number of laws

Today, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, signed the laws adopted by the Majlisi namoyandagon and approved by the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan”, “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Other Mandatory Payments to the Budget” and “On Amendments and Addenda to the Tax Code of the Republic of Tajikistan” are among them.
According to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan”, criminal liability is established for tampering with electricity metering devices with the aim of not paying for electricity or using electricity without connecting to the metering device. For committing this crime for a large or especially large amount, by abusing official position, by a group of persons, an organized group or a criminal organization, the penalty is deprivation of liberty for a term of three to ten years.
Other signed laws were adopted to protect the environment and public health from waste from obsolete motor vehicles, as well as to improve tax rates and mandatory payments.
The signed laws are aimed at ensuring the sustainable economic and social development of the country and the well-being of citizens.
