Visit to the training center «Poytakht» of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security
DUSHANBE, 22.02.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the eve of the 24th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the training center «Poytakht» of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security in the metropolitan area of Firdavsi of Dushanbe, and attended the ceremony of the opening of new facilities of the center.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the center put into operation the sewing workshop, an assembly hall, a modern educational building and Radio-technical Border Management College and closely became familiar with educational conditions and retraining of the border guards.
The training center «Poytakht», which is considered the main training base for servicemen of the Border Troops of SCNS of Tajikistan, covered to date with training a large number of recruits of border guards, military personnel, including sappers, signalers, dog handlers, drivers, snipers and motorized infantry, aimed at the continuation of the service in the frontier military units.
The new school building consists of 20 classes, is equipped with modern electronic military training equipment. The school prepares and retrains young military specialists in 18 specialties. The school is also suitable for direct employment of military training with the use of electronic operations. The advantage of the new school is that military training and exercises to retrain are conducted using equipment and electronic means that allows to save the weapons and other military equipment during the sessions.
During familiarization with the school, President Emomali Rahmon praised the experience of this unique regional military school and gave specific instructions to the heads of the security forces and law enforcement agencies to improve and strengthen the skills of members of the Armed Forces, improve conditions of service of the border guards, to maintain the educational center in a proper functional state.
