Delegation of Tajikistan attended the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of SCO Member States in Astana
DUSHANBE, 21.04.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirodjidin Aslov on April 21 attended the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO CFM). According to the MFA Information Department, during the meeting a thorough exchange of views took place on important regional and international issues.
The ministers have discussed a number of documents proposed for consideration at the forthcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States, including the issues related to the accession of India and Pakistan to the SCO.
The Foreign Ministers called for further enhancing cooperation in countering contemporary challenges and security threats, especially terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, as well as strengthening international information security, emergency response.
Heads of delegations noted that the strengthening of cooperation in the fields of health, culture, environmental protection, science, technology, sport and tourism is an important factor in the development of successful cooperation of SCO Member States.
Appropriate decisions were made on all issues discussed at the meeting.
There also took place bilateral meetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov with the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and China.
