The Minister of economic development and trade of Tajikistan, Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, met with Gazi Shbaykat, the International Monetary Fund’s permanent representative in Tajikistan, the ministry said.
The meeting focused on the country’s macroeconomic indicators, as well as current and future cooperation with the IMF in priority economic sectors.
Abdurahmonzoda said that despite global economic challenges, Tajikistan’s economy is expected to grow by 8.4% in 2025, citing the implementation of government policies and strategic development programs.
The two sides also discussed expanding cooperation in economic development, forecasting systems and structural reforms, and expressed readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial partnership.
