Next round of inter-ministerial consultations of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan held in Astana
DUSHANBE, 20.04.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The next round of inter-ministerial consultations of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan took place today April 20 in Astana. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the MFA Information Department.
During the consultations the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan S. Aslov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Abdrakhmanov have discussed the important issues and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as interaction within international organizations. The parties had also an exchange of views on international and regional agenda.
It was discussed the cooperation between the two countries in security issues in the region, coordination of efforts to combat threats and challenges. The parties outlined specific tasks for deepening trade-economic, investment, transport and communication links between the countries.
During the meeting the ministers had an exchange of Ratification instruments for entry into force of the historic document — the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which in accordance with the signed Protocol entered into force on April 20, 2017.
This Agreement was signed by the Heads of two states on September 14, 2015 in Dushanbe.
