Tajikistan and UNDP to expand bilateral cooperation
DUSHANBE, 26.04.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Ms. Pratibha Mehta, UN Resident Coordinator, and UNDP Resident Representative in Tajikistan here in Dushanbe.
According to the ministry’s message, Minister Hikmatullozoda has expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the UN structural units, in particular UNDP.
It is reported that during the meeting, various issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and UNDP, in particular, preparations for joint seminars on the Sustainable Development Goals, joint session of the UNDAF Steering Committee, as well as monitoring of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 were discussed.
Following the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan and UNDP.
