President Emomali Rahmon receives U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council Philip de Leon
DUSHANBE, 14.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received today in the Palace of the Nation the Chairman of the U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council Philip de Leon.
It was pointed out that the development of wide-ranging relations with the United States occupies a special place in the foreign policy of Tajikistan, and in this context the two sides acknowledged the importance of the visit of American business delegation to Tajikistan with the purpose of exchanging views on the current state and prospects of partnership between the two states in the spheres of trade and economy.
It was stressed that more than 30 documents on bilateral cooperation, including in the areas of trade and economy, were signed since the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has created the necessary favorable conditions for fruitful activity of entrepreneurs and investors of the United States of America in Tajikistan.
A constructive exchange of views took place on cooperation between business and investment circles of Tajikistan and America in the spheres of economy, trade, industry, energy, investment, tourism and attracting investments of entrepreneurs and businessmen of this country in promoting the functioning of Tajikistan’s free economic zones.
The two sides have also exchanged views on other issues of common interest.
