Chairman of Committee for Tourism Development discussed the issues of tourism development with UN Coordinator in Tajikistan and the JICA Permanent Representative of the Japan Agency
DUSHANBE, 28.08.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Numon Abdughafforzoda met with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan Ms. Pratibha Mehta and the Permanent Representative of the Japan Agency for International Cooperation /JICA/ Hideki Tanabe.
During the meetings the issues of strengthening the professional potential of tourism workers, establishment of sectoral training regarding increasing the level of service with the involvement of internal and external experts, construction of tourism infrastructure and attraction of investments in this direction, presentation of tourism opportunities in and abroad of the country, development of new routes and their presentation, organization of events and tourism exhibitions and other issues of sector development were discussed.
The parties emphasized that they will carry out constructive cooperation in the mentioned areas and will take necessary measures to strengthen the tourism development of the republic and its worthy presentation in and abroad of the country using privileges and conditions created by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
