DUSHANBE, 18.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, in Ashgabat, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in the opening of the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat.
According to preliminary data, about 6 thousand athletes from 62 countries of Asia and Oceania took part in this major sporting event.
The game program includes 21 sports, including basketball, wrestling, billiards, bowling, chess, tennis, sambo, swimming, horse riding, and other sports.
Tajikistan in the 5 Asian Games is represented by 173 people, including 126 athletes representing 15 sports and martial arts.
