DUSHANBE, 02.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as part of his state visit to the People’s Republic of China, held constructive meetings with the heads of a number of influential Chinese companies.

In Beijing, President Emomali Rahmon received the Director General of the China Road and Bridge Corporation Lu Shan.

The meeting discussed issues related to the effective implementation of road construction projects in Tajikistan.

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon gave a worthy assessment of the activities of the Chinese company for the construction of roads and bridges, as well as the reconstruction of highways in Tajikistan.

We will recall that with the participation and investment of this company in Tajikistan at the high and corresponding requirements of the construction norms major projects have been completed for the construction of the international road Dushanbe — Khujand — Chanak with Shahriston tunnel and the Dushanbe — Dangara section of the Dushanbe — Kulyab — Khorog — Kulma — Karakorum highway with Chormagzak tunnel.

Also a constructive conversation took place concerning other issues of mutual interest, in particular, the prospects for cooperation.
