DUSHANBE, 12.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan took first place at the International Specialized Exhibition “Astana EXPO-2017” in the category “Disclosure of the theme of the exhibition” among joint pavilions. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.

According to the source, 115 national pavilions and 22 pavilions of international organizations, which presented modern international technological developments in the field of alternative energy sources claimed the honorary international awards.

In the category “Disclosure of the theme of the exhibition” bronze was awarded to Ukraine, silver to the Republic of Ghana and gold to the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Commissioner General of the Exposition of the Republic of Tajikistan at the international specialized exhibition “EXPO-2017”, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharif Said in connection with the received award noted: “This is a worthy gift on the day of celebration of the 26th anniversary of the State independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and confirmation of world recognition of globally significant water initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, which were proclaimed by the UN General Assembly. We are proud that the pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan and the work of our entire team earned the highest appreciation of the international jury, having received the gold award in the unique international specialized exhibition “EXPO-2017”.

According to preliminary estimates, the pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan at the international specialized exhibition “EXPO-2017” was visited by more than 400 thousand people, including official delegations and business circles of countries such as: Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Japan, Russia, China, Argentina, France, Italy, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, USA, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Ukraine, Armenia and others.

The solemn closing ceremony of the International Exhibition “EXPO-2017” was held on September 10, 2017.
