DUSHANBE, 03.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. In Beijing, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as part of his state visit, attended and delivered a speech at the Economic-Investment Forum of Tajikistan and China.

The Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Zhong Shan opened the event with a welcoming speech, and then gave the floor to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The holding of this meeting was called another opportunity for a more and better representation of the real possibilities for further commercial, economic and investment cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

It was emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan takes targeted measures to improve the working climate of entrepreneurs and to create good and favorable conditions for foreign investors, and announced the development of entrepreneurship and attraction of investments as a priority direction of the country’s economic policy.

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon said with satisfaction that in recent years Tajikistan has been three times introduced in the list of “Top ten countries-reformers”, improved its position in the “Doing Business” rating in terms of business registration, taxation, obtaining loan and international trade, the representatives of business circles of the People’s Republic of China will also be able to use about 240 tax breaks and almost 70 types of investment incentives in the Republic of Tajikistan.

There were expressed constructive proposals for the establishment of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of economy, energy, infrastructure, transport and communications, metallurgy and machine building industry, mining and processing of useful minerals, including mountain minerals, chemical, light and food industries, production of construction materials, agro-industrial complex and tourism.

The four free economic zones of the Republic of Tajikistan, the signing of the Program on Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China, as well as the strengthening of measures to create an industrial zone of Tajikistan and China were among other opportunities that strengthen bilateral relations between entrepreneurship and business circles of Tajikistan and China.

It was noted with satisfaction that all necessary conditions have been created in Tajikistan for establishing constructive cooperation with business circles of China, and effective use of these opportunities is comprehensively beneficial for both sides.

At the Economic — Investment Forum of Tajikistan and China, the Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management Fayziddin Kahhorzoda presented a comprehensive presentation on the broad investment opportunities in various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan, including hydropower, oil and gas, industry, mining and processing of minerals, production, processing and export of agricultural products, aluminum, banking system, tourism, etc.

The forum also heard speeches by the Vice President of Export-Import Bank (Eximbank) Sun Ping and Regional Director of the China Road and Bridge Corporation of the People’s Republic of China Liu Jinbao.
