Head of State Emomali Rahmon met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti Mahmoud Ali Youssouf
DUSHANBE, 16.10.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. At Kokhi Somon Palace, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.
It was noted that cooperation between Tajikistan and African countries has good prospects ahead. In this regard, Tajikistan is interested in a full-fledged cooperation between African continent’s countries.
The two sides exchanged views on issues related strengthening of bilateral links in the field of trade and economy, cultural sphere and contacts between security services.
The two sides reaffirmed their interest in the implementation of the steps aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the regions and solving important social and economic problems, in particular Tajikistan’s new decade initiative regarding water-related issues entitled International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028, announcement and implementation of it as well as finding a peaceful solution to the conflict through negotiation.
The two sides also discussed matters pertaining to ensuring security and stability and certain contemporary negative phenomena.
