Tajikistan hosts annual Festival “European Week”
DUSHANBE, 09.10.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Festival “European Week-2017” will be held from 11 to 21 October 2017 in Dushanbe and Khorog. It will be held under the motto “Peace — Democracy and Solidarity” this year. The week is dedicated to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome and the 26th anniversary of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union.
As noted event organizers, the “European Week” has become an integral part of cultural life. Through a rich and diverse program, it promotes the presence of the European Union in Tajikistan, intensifies cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia. Also it gives an opportunity to draw the attention of the population to programs of existing cooperation, promotes European values and cultural diversity.
Also the 10th European Cinema Festival as another part “European Week-2017” will be held in Dushanbe from 13 to 15 October 2017.
