The second round of political consultations between Tajikistan and France held in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 23.11.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The second round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic was held today in Dushanbe. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan was headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseinzoda, the French side was represented by the Director of the Department of Continental Europe Ms. Florence Mangin. The consultations were also attended by the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Tajikistan Ms. Yasmine Gouedard.
According to the MFA Information Department, the issues of development and strengthening of multifaceted mutually beneficial Tajik-French cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, including in the domains of politics, economy and trade, water resources and energy, industry, health, education, science and culture, tourism were in the focus of talks.
The sides also exchanged views on the issues of combating modern challenges and threats. The interlocutors discussed the relations between Tajikistan and France within the framework of international organizations, as well as aspects of regional cooperation.
In conclusion of consultations, the sides expressed their mutual readiness in further expanding the relationship in the priority areas of cooperation.
