DUSHANBE, 04.01.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon held today a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Government House.

The participants discussed Government Action Plan for the first half-year of 2018 and other current issues. Finance Minister reported on measures taken to ensure implementation of the law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2018», the law on the Financial Indicators of the State Budget for 2019-2021 and the draft law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2019″.

The meeting attendees also reviewed and submitted for consideration of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (the parliament’s lower house) a number of draft laws concerning the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On promotion of employment”, “On the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On medicines and pharmaceutical activity”, “On the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Besides, the final opinions of the members of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan concerning the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On pastures” were sent for consideration of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (the parliament’s lower house).

During the meeting, the government members supported the establishment of four new agencies; in particular, Committee on Food Security under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan will be established on the basis of the State Veterinary Surveillance Service, State Inspection Service of Phytosanitary and Plant Quarantine, the State Livestock Breeding Service and the State Seed Breeding Inspectorate. The Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan will be established on the basis of the Department of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transport, the Department for Control and Regulation of Air Transport of the State Service for Control and Regulation of Transport, and State Unitary Enterprises of the centre for Certification of Transportation activities and service. The State Service for Control of Healthcare and Social Protection will be established on the basis of appropriate structures of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan. State Enterprises “Tojikfilm” will be established on the basis of Cinematography “Tojikfilm», and State Unitary Enterprises of the Film and Video “Tojikkino” of Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Head of State Emomali Rahmon underlined that the creation of new agencies is to protect consumers’ rights and preserve public health.
