President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan meets President of Senate of Jordan Faisal al-Fayez
DUSHANBE, 12.12.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon had a meeting with President of Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Faisal al-Fayez.
The state and prospects of inter-parliamentary relations between Tajikistan and Jordan was the main subject on the agenda. The two sides, in particular, noted that parliaments play an important role in promoting expansion of friendly cooperation between the countries.
It was stressed that Tajikistan attaches significance to expansion of cooperation with Kingdom of Jordan and other Arab nations and its multilateral cooperation with Arab countries is one of priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.
They also reaffirm their readiness to further develop the legal base between their countries cover practically in areas of socio-economic cooperation.
The sides also exchanged views on key regional and international issues, including the situation in the Muslim world and joint struggle against negative phenomena. And, in this context, the head of our state, Emomali Rahmon pointed that we must protect our country and the Islamic world from their threats and not allow discrediting the sacred religion of Islam.»
The two sides also affirmed their commitment to establish appropriate institutions for ensuring inter-parliamentary ties between Tajikistan and Jordan.
