Renaming of a number of cities, districts and settlements of Khatlon Province
DUSHANBE, 22.01.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. In accordance with Article 19 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Order of resolving issues of administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Tajikistan», the Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon has signed a Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on renaming the cities of Qurghon-Teppa and Sarband, Bokhtar district, the township of Vose’ and the Qurbonshahid village at Vose’ district, the villages of Shota Rustaveli, Toshokhur and Budinobod at Yovon district of the Khatlon Province.
According to issued Decree, the city of Qurghon-Teppa was renamed Bokhtar, Sarband was renamed Levakant, Bokhtar was renamed Kushoniyon, the township of Vose’ district was renamed Hulbuk township, the village of Qurbonshahid of settlement of Guliston of Vose’ district was renamed Mehrobod, the village of Shota Rustaveli of settlement of Sitorai Surkh of the Yovon district was renamed Sargah village, the village of Toshokhur named after Hasan Huseynov of the Yovon district was renamed Boghdara village and the village of Budinobod named after Gulsara Yusufova of the Yovon district was renamed Zarrindast.
The Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was sent for consideration of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
