Salini Impregilo CEO Pietro Salini: “THE FIRST AGGREGATE OF ROGHUN HPP WILL BE COMMISSIONED ON NOVEMBER 16 OF THIS YEAR”
DUSHANBE, 31.01.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. As we previously reported, today, at the government residence, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Salini Impregilo, Pietro Salini.
The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation of Tajikistan with the Salini Impregilo industrial Group, particularly cooperation in the field of construction and rehabilitation work at the hydropower facilities, including Roghun hydroelectric dam.
The two sides exchanged views on the pace and quality of construction works in the important facility, and discussed the timely completion of the project works plan.
It was expressed confidence that the Salini Impregilo in order to timely implement the project reportedly taking all necessary measures for construction of the Roghun Dam and will complete the works in time and with high quality.
Following the meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon the Salini Impregilo CEO Pietro Salini has said to NIAT “Khovar” correspondent and other mass media representatives, in particular:
“Today, I visited the construction site of Roghun HPP and reported to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon about it. The works are progressing in construction site and there are working a lot of builders in separate parts of construction. I am pleased with the progressed works and promised His Excellency that the first aggregate of Roghun HPP will be commissioned on November 16 of this year. All construction workers of Rogun HPP are today proud to take part in the construction of such historic hydropower facility. The Salini Impregilo is also proud to contribute in the construction of these large facilities”.
