DUSHANBE, 28.02.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The head of the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy reported to the meeting participants on the current state of land resources and its allocation by value categories, types of land and land users, classified as such as of January 1, 2018.

It was noted that the administrative borders of the Republic of Tajikistan classified as such as of January 1, 2018 remained unchanged compared to January 1, 2017.

6,960,741 hectares of agricultural lands are currently used, on it agricultural irrigated land was reported 681,413 hectares. 1720 hectares of abandoned lands entered to agricultural turnover in 2017.

The meeting attendees discussed and submitted for consideration of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan the eight draft laws of the Republic of Tajikistan and final conclusions of the members of the Government concerning proposal of final conclusions of the Government members to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan ‘On Investments’.

The meeting also adopted a resolution addressing the proposals of the assembly (majlis) of people’s deputies of the Sughd Province to rename a number of settlements subordinated to the cities of Isfara and Konibodom as well as in the Bobojon Ghafurov district.

A meeting agenda also included a number of draft resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the Program of Socio-economic Development of Dushanbe in 2018-2020», «On the National Patriotic Education Program and strengthening Tajik Youth’s national identity for 2018-2022» and «On the national tourism development program in the Republic of Tajikistan designed for 2018-2020» as well as «On the Procedure forconducting centralized admission examinations for entering to Secondary and Higher Professional Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan.»

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon gave specific instructions to the members of the Government to implement draft resolutions of the Government and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as other issues of the next meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
