Ambassador of Tajikistan gifted a sample of Tajik folk crafts to the Ethnological Museum of Berlin
DUSHANBE, 07.03.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in Germany Maliksho Nematov visited the Ethnological Museum of Berlin on March 5, where he met with the museum’s director, Professor Lars-Christian Koch.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, during the meeting the parties had an exchange of views on the forthcoming cultural cooperation between the Ethnological Museum of Berlin and the Tajik National Museum. At the same time, the Ambassador of Tajikistan informed his interlocutor on announcement of 2018 as the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development in Tajikistan by the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Professor Koch, in turn, expressed readiness to organize an exhibition of paintings of Tajik artists and works of Tajik folk craftsmen in the new building of the museum.
Following the meeting, Ambassador of Tajikistan gifted a sample of Tajik folk craft — embroidered chakan to the Ethnological Museum of Berlin.
