Head of Committee for Emergency Situations received FAO representative in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 04.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Lieutenant-General Rustam Nazarzoda met with the delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN FAO) led by the newly appointed representative Oleg Guchgeldiyev, the press service of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
During the meeting the parties have discussed the issues of increasing interaction and implementing joint projects to protect crops, the problems of material and technical equipment, training and retraining of staff, as well as the exchange of experience in this area.
Following the meeting, the head of the Committee thanked O. Guchgeldiyev for constructive conversation and hoped that such meetings would continue to be held regularly. “Holding such meetings will become the basis for successful interaction between the CESCD and FAO”, — Rustam Nazarzoda said.
