President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon has urged the people of Tajikistan to avoid ostentatious spending, which goes against the frugal traditions of the ancient Tajik people.
“On this day, people visit parents, elders, relatives, the sick, and those in mourning, pray for the souls of their ancestors, and engage in other good deeds and virtuous acts that are considered the spiritual and cultural hallmarks of this day,” the Leader of the Nation emphasized.
The President noted that, instead of organizing excessively lavish holiday feasts and indulging in luxury and extravagance—which only bring harm—citizens should prioritize raising children in a healthy and prosperous family environment, improving living conditions for all family members, and performing other charitable and benevolent acts.
“The sacred religion of Islam does not permit any rite, ritual, or obligation that causes harm to others. As the authentic hadith states, in Islam there is no harm to oneself or others,” explained Emomali Rahmon, the respected Leader of the Nation.
