President Emomali Rahmon made working trip to Sughd capital Khujand
DUSHANBE, 26.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Khujand after completing his working trip to Istaravshan city.
In Khujand’s Ismoili Somoni Avenue the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon toured “Bread, Honey and Apricots” exhibition, where he held a warm meeting with craftswomen, folk craftsmen and farmers.
In addition, the beekeepers of twelve cities and districts of the Province demonstrated different kinds of honey and propolis at the exhibition.
During his talks with beekeepers the head of state Emomali Rahmon emphasized increasing of supplies of production of honey for both exports and domestic market.
It was stressed that on the instructions and guidance of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in recent years, thousands of hectares of new orchards, including apricots, have been created, and old gardens and vineyards have been restored.
46 thousand hectares of apricot orchards harvest in the Sughd Province, of its yield both fresh and in packages conforming to international standards is exported to the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, the USA, the Peoples Republic of China, Middle East and European countries. Last year, 35,000 tons of fruit were exported from the Sughd Province, including 4,800 tons of fresh fruit.
Later in the day, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon officially commissioned a two-storied residential building, trading center, teahouse and a kindergarten designed for 240 students and donated holiday gifts to orphans here.
After that the head of state Emomali Rahmon opened a new Tajik-Turkish joint venture «Archa-mebel» on the basis of “Archa» Ltd in the free economic zone «Sughd».
In general, furniture will be manufactured for preschool institutions, special educational institution, households, private houses, administrative institutions, enterprises, and in the coming years for healthcare institutions.
Later the President visited Khujand’s Navbahor community, where he commissioned kindergarten #28, which was built according to modern architecture principles.
Construction started in December 2017 and was finished in June 2018. 3.8 million TJK was spent for the construction of the kindergarten, which can handle up to 320 children to education per day.
The kindergarten has a spacious room, kids’ waiting room, an educational room, a bedroom, sanitary point, and music hall, summer sports ground, a ground for studying the rules of the road, a swimming pool, and central heating.
